Last week, during a heat wave, I spent my evenings trying to decouple my online self from Google services. A dreaded undertaking that turned out to be alot easier than expected, with 2 caveats: 1) Google’s exported data failed in unexpected ways, 2) Proton (my alternative of choice for some services) also failed in unexpected ways.
