Tiny Tea Dispatch – issue #041
![]() | ISSUE 041 | ![]() | ||
We finished our little greenhouse with spring right around the corner. A few lettuce plants, some cauliflowers and soon (if the seedlings cooperate), sweet and spicy peppers. The dog, upon inspecting the structure, was not terribly impressed.
Today’s topics:
- Hot & spicy
- Take a ride
- Clones
- Tea time

The Sauce
Made from most of last year’s pepper harvest (we didn’t end up with much), fermented for 5 or so months. A dark and smokey batch of hot sauce to spice things up a bit.
The Train
Rather than immediately starting on a brand new game, I decided to make a big update to my train game, the DMG Express.
- There are now 3 distinct routes and backgrounds for your travels: the mountain landscape, beach and desert.
- Each route has new designs for the birds and the player in the cloud-catching game
- There is a map and a score board
- various quality-of-life improvements and tweaks to the controls, dialogs, …
If you are new to the game or have played it before, now is an excellent time to try the new version!
# Retro corner #
This is in fact, not a Game Boy. Kinda. While trawling second-hand stores online, I came across a relatively rare Game Boy Color clone in the shape of a Game Boy Advance SP. You can sometimes find these in their more ‘classic’ (non-foldable) shape but I hadn’t seen this type before.
The 2 weird things about it are:
- it uses a Nokia phone battery (still in production)
- and the screen ratio is stretched
A fun curiosity, as someone put it to me recently.

This splendid cast iron teapot was a gift from my GF. And a great subject to test my new zoom lens with. Maybe now I’ll be able to take some pictures of the birds in the garden.
And these were taken on a walk through Brugge (Belgium).
# Closing thoughts #
How’s everyone doing in this brand new year? I can’t believe it’s March already. Feels like the past 2 months went by in the blink of an eye. I’m not even entirely sure what went on. Only that I could use a month or so away. Winter just doesn’t sit well with me.
But days are getting longer and we had some sun out here today. Enjoy some of those rays when you can.
That’s it from me for this time. See you in the next dispatch!
