Internship management

As the main point of contact for onboarding and training web developers, I started an initiative to map the various internal processes (and gathered the info/documentation) that were used to manage internships at the company so they were documented as part of the company handbook.
Formalized and unified processes that could be used by the various teams to support to the interns and enable them to track effort as well as give feedback. As part of this, used feedback and interviews to gather data and visualize what aspects took the most time and support, in order to optimize those parts of the process. Ownership of the processes and documentation was then transfered to HR and, in lesser capacity, to the various teams (eg. mentorship documents).
In practical terms, my focus was in onboarding and training of the developer interns before handing them over to their respective teams, which helped in identifying strengths and weaknesses, gathering data and providing feedback.
This was heavily documented and updated yearly, involving mentors inside the developer teams. The end-goal to have a robust process and shared responsibilities so onboarding and training could be integrated fully into the developer teams. Which we did after a few years.
